After our lunch at the hilton we jumped into a taxi and made out way towards London Bridge and the home of the shard. EEEEEEKKKKKKKK I couldn't wait this had been long over due.
The entrance was rather like an airport!!!! |
I was running around like a headless chicken being overly snap happy, Daddy in typical fashion seemed totally unfased and carried on reading the news paper #sochilled |
You go up a series of lifts that go at the speed of light(Daddy kept on trying to freak out the other passengers and made remarks about fires, lifts breaking and plummeting all the way up, I think they were happy to get shot of us.) But befor you know it you have arrived at the top.
Gasps.... OMG what a view. It 100% lived up to its name. London in all its glory, stretching for as long as they eye could see, a panoramic view.
We had to have a photo op naturally Daddy donned his favorite expression, pained ha.
I was amazed to find out The Shangri La Hotel was opening in the Shard and that there were residential homes up for sale along with office space. I'm dying to eat at their restaurant also.
Arriving back down on earth mummy had to pick up some postcards, I though hummmm I might just photograph them instead.
We were wondering if the shard invested in Plkington self cleaning glass to save the man hours. |
