Cocochan

There's nothing like a mid week lunch date with a girlfriend. So as you can imagine I was over the moon with excitement when Jess told me he was going to be up from the country before jetting off to Spain.

Although I only had an hour for lunch, meeting up was a must. I booked a table at Cocochan, located on St James Street. They offer up a contemporary Pan Asian Cuisine, the menu is filled with light nibbles and some fantastically fresh and unique flavours. My ideal lunch time menu.

Positioning ourselves outside in the sunshine. Our eyes scanned our menu's in earnest as we nattered away, naturally.

It was just to tempting ha....

I ordered the stir fried brown crab claws with chill soya, a steamed queen scallop with black bean sauce and seaweed salad aka wakame....Because I'm a big fatty. Oh and an organic spring jasmine tea.

Jess had the spicy tuna and spring onion Ura Maki and the seafood ceviche a mix of prawn, sea bass, squid, chill soya and yuzu.

It was all 100% delicious and beautifully presented, a feast for the eyes as well as our tummy's. I loved the contrast of the black slate crockery against the live and vibrant colours of our food.
The service was great, friendly and fast the perfect combination.

Sad to say goodbye to Jess. I dashed back to work felling revitalized and full of beans to finish the rest of my day.
