Our tummies were rumbling and we were ready to eat. By chance we came across this quite amazing restaurant Hall Woodhouse. Outside a sandwich board stated 'VOGUE BEST OF BATH.' Now I 100% trust what Vogue says to in we went, and oh I was so glad we did.
The interior was amazing, a blend of modern and old British pieces. Matched together in a kooky, coo way. Very clever and it definitely keep engaged throughout my lunchtime stay.
Set over four floors with a roof bar. We ate on the second floor with the open kitchen.
We plonked ourselves down by the window and eagerly read the menu. (Modern British Cuisine).
We shared the Sweet Potato and Red pepper croquettes to start with. They were accompanied by a sweet chilli and Sour Cream drizzle. They were light crisp and perfect. Two was not enough for two people. That will teach us not to share again.
I chose the Tuna Tartare with Avocado salsa, sour dough bread and a side of rocket and Cheddar salad.
Mummy had the falafel burger with a sweet red pepper and hummus filling. I had some and all her chips....It was so worth it.
Everything was perfect to a T and the service was amazing..
Even the Loo's were something to be seen.....
To finish off this quite unique lunching experience. I HAD TO, buy some Badger Beers and Ciders. They looked so great on the display as you walked in the entrance/exit. With a great description of flavors from the very sweet bar tender I was sold and four came home with me and are now chilling in my fridge for Notting Hill Carnival this weekend.. Woohooo.
Anyways Hall and Woodhouse is 100% worth a visit and delivers on all four of its levels and above.
