No1 Royal Crescent & Thermal Rooftop Sap Bath

Felling a little more energetic after our lunch we made out way to No. 1 Royal Crescent. Here's a little history for you..'No.1 Royal Crescent, is Grade 1 listed and Built by John Wood the Younger in 1767-1774, as the first house in the Royal Crescent, a bath stone crescent of 30 houses with a uniform Palladian design to the principal facade. The crescent is the culmination of the 18th century development of bath by the Wood generations. The open view in front of the Royal Crescent is a key element to the design

Now a museum we went inside. I had a spy out the window as John Wood would have.

This rather decedent screen was in the dinning room, apparently they would relieve themselves behind it while attending dinner. Ahem that's a little gross/quite funny.

The house was filled with beautiful things. Mummy said she had an identical wind bird (above) when she was little.

We made our way back down into the City Center, passed the Roman Baths and all kinds of nick knack shops before arriving at our last destination.... THE SPA YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HEE..

Baths Thermae Spa. All the water is Natural Spring water, containing over 42 different minerals. It is naturally heated in hot springs under bath and is approximately always 33.5°C.

Set over Four floors we enjoyed almost everything they had to offer, apart from a massage, but I wasn't complaining, the warm water was enough.

The main attraction was the roof top pool. With a view of the city and rolling hills beyond, combined with the healing qualities of the hot natural mineral water, and it's Jacuzzi jets, it was safe to say I was relaxed. My tired feet and back were in heaven. I think mummy felt the same way.

 Down stairs we went..

The inside pool offered up jets around the side which was a dream on my back. The interior was space ship like and modern but perfect for the atmosphere. Everyone was calm happy and having a wale of a time. This place is a destination to go to if your in bath.

One last wonder over the bridge and a sweet treat before driving back home. I slept in the car all the way home, oh so relaxed.
