The London Marathon

This Sunday London was shut down and people from all over the country came to run the Marathon and support their loved ones..We came to cheer on two of the best girlie's every, Alice Sopwith and Alice Hall and a great guy Oliver Arnott.

We arrived at Buckingham palace, took the virgin bridge over into St James park and settled at the 600 meter left mark.

The atmosphere was electric, we cheered on everyone and anyone, high-fiving people's hands and whooping at every moment. It was quite emotional really, defiantly a tear welling moment. The runners really pulled together to help each other out, a few runners carried another guy to the end.

Some people's costumes were fantastic I was a massive fan if the rhinos and super hero's.

They all raised a tremendous amount of money for their charities which you can still donate to buy going to their just give pages, links to follow. Just Giving Alice Hall and Just Giving Alice Sopwith. The girls finished together, 26.2 miles in 4 hours 15.

You can imagine our dismay that we missed our girlie's they must have been to speedy for our lazy eyes but as soon as we found out where they were in the meeting area we jetted over and smothered them with hugs and congratulations. We were all so impressed it's such a big achievement. Well done Soppy, Hall and Ollie.

Naturally we all then headed to the pub to quench our thirst with some ice cold wine and cider....Hum exactly what they doctor ordered it was a very hot day after all.

Everyone was in high spirits and once the girls arrived having spruced themselves up they were bombarded with more hugs kissed and cheer.

It was the perfect end to a great day, one for the books I'd say.
