Marylebone is one of the best areas in London, a blend of young professionals, the super wealthy and generally uber stylish people! So obvi I fit in ...... ahem ;-).
The long stretch of high street exhibits Victorian/Georgian architecture spiced up into my favorite modern shops, from Matches, Sandro (I'm a total slut for Sandro), Ash, Austique (actually at 40 New Cavendish just off main hightstreet) Theory and Whistles and this is to name but a few, a boutique bedhlem.
My mum goes crazy for the Emma Bridgewater and so do I, everything is hand painted (I've actually been to the factory)in pretty patterns or beautiful images of flowers, dogs, cats etc. I want it all.
This is conveniently placed next to my perfect lunch time spot The Natural kitchen, filled with yummy salads which you can mix and match, big slabs of salmon fillets and all other kind of interesting goodies you know your going to be leaving a little out of pocket but with a rather fuller tummy.
The only place not only in Marylebone but in London to go get yourself a tea is Amanzi Tea, the walls are decked in a variety of tea leaves, they give you the low down on how each type of tea is beneficial and massive brownie points to them as they the the only place I have found so far the serve Almond milk which I drink by the liter and have a massive crush over #i'mafreak! They also make the most delicious gluten free treats, pastries and sandwiches ever....EVER.
Bang next door is Atherton Cox aka my hairdressers, Lisa B does my barnett, this women knows what she is doing and we always have a giggle at the same time, I recommend them 100%.
Tucked away on Marylebone Lane is VV Rouleaux the haberdashery to end all haberdashery's, I could spend a fortune in here, unfortunately I'm still waiting to win the euro millions so I can't do this quite yet hee.
Then, boys look away and don't freak out!!! The shop all girls secretly dream of(Browns Brides) and would love to end up in trying on big white dresses, Christian Louboutin shoes and jeweled headbands from Louis Mariette. A massive Friends reminder , classic.
If you want to eat you are spoiled for choice St James Street is a stretch of culinary variety. Dim Sum (Ping Pong) Lebanese(Massis), burgers (Patty and Bun), Italian (Made in Italy), french (Cafe Rouge), Modern British (Avenue) and Spanish tapas (La Tasca) it has it all.
St Christopher Place is the social hub, when the sun comes out this fills like animals to a watering hole. Every inch is covered with laughing happy chatty people, you can't help but have a massive smile when hanging out around here that happy energy is infectious.
If you want to chill out and relax head to Manchester Square I don't need to say why, isn't it dreamy beautiful a great place to sit down and have a pick-nick lunch..
Oh this area is just great, it suits me to a T and I think you just might like it to.
