Sucker for Selfridges

It's known throughout my friends, family and work colleges that I'm a sucker for Selfridges. It's been a love affair for a few years now and has only been fuelled since I started working around the area four months ago.

So here is my little tour of  Selfridges. A clean, open space with carefully curated light stretched over six floor, you never feel overwhelmed as one can find in such a place. In fact its all very exciting, a feast for the eyes and a colour extravaganzas every nook and cranny offers something different and new.

For me it's the ultimate retail experience, I walk in the side doors off  Duke Street and I am home and as they say home is where the heart is!! To my immediate right is Chanel and my left  Louis Vuitton (I think you get the idea) This is major hee!!!!!!! Stretched in front of me this a bag heaven, I made a b-line for Prada to ogle over their perfect bags I die or the Cobalt Blue Top Handle oh and the Papaya one also hee hee, this is the perfect day bag a great shape and fun colours for summer. Their Flap bag in black is dreamy also.

Of course I had to pop by Balenciaga these bags will never go out of style, the beautiful leather, great colours and chic studs make these timeless classics.

Anyway I dragged myself away otherwise I would stay there all day, so I took the escalators up to the shoe gallery aka the 2nd floor. Ever since I watched the TV series Sex and the City shoes have become a great love mine and I'm sure you all have the same love for them to hee hee.

I'm channelling Rachel Zoe today, Zara jacket, Goldsign Jeans (big flairs) Mulberry bag

My theory is our dress sizes may change but our shoe size always stays the same so its totally cool to splurge on a great pair of shoes, I'm saving my penny's up for these bad boys by Rupert Sanderson the floria suede cage sandal is elegant, bright and so my style. These Brian Atwood Tie Me Up animal print leather sandals are to die for also but I think I would be having to save my pennies for a bit to long hee hee. It's ok to dream right?
Of course the clever people at Selfridges realized shopping is tiring work and so they have placed restaurants around the store. Aubaine is in the Shoe gallery, this restaurant is what women want or at least what I look for, modern French chic, pastel colours and great food. How sweet are these shoe models made out of sugar. I wish I could have taken one home!!!

Next stop High fashion, with this small burst of sun shine we are having I'm feeling bright prints and so you can imagine my excitement when I was confronted with the Peter Pilotto section, the crazy print was splashed all over the floor and wall with a TV screen exhibiting it's catwalk show, this could have clashed massively with the clothes but it totally worked and looked what I assume an acid trip might look like!!

I glided around and arrive at Burberry, you can't be in an English department store and not visit Burberry, it represents English style for me and Christopher Bailey is a genius. I need this naughty fella in my life (Long lace trench coat). One word EPIC...

Hey Sexy Lady!!!!

Naturally I had to visit Ralph Lauren to channel my inner prep chic but it was a quick visit as I got told off for taking photos, so being me I went bright red and apologised several times and scuttled off, how un-cool of me ha!
However around here I came across The Corner another of Selfridge's elegant restaurant stops. Note to self 'I must eat here next time'.

Scene of the Crime.

I carried on my rambling and came across these hats by Maison Michel. I had to try one on, the cat ears are super cute.

I arrived at the underwear and swimwear department next and wow Agent Provocateur totally delivered on their swim wear display, one of each please and thank you. La Perla was grown up, saucy, elegance as always. I dream of the day my underwear draws are filled with a beautifully folded La Perla corsets knickers and bra, so Marie Antoinette style.

On the ground floor I had to pick up a few essentials from Shu uemura and try on some not so essentials aka these Victoria Beckham Sunglasses ahem.. I love the smell of the beauty halls, a blend if every sent known to man kind but in a good way. I also managed to book myself a facial on Tuesday at Groom, I can't waite.

So after all of this lusting after designer goodies I made my way to the food hall for a pick me up, and pick me up it did. I feel like the food talks for itself. so take a look. I filled up on testers obvi and left with a satisfied tummy with goodies to go.

Last and final stop, after I stopped to literally smell the roses at The Real Flower Company was the Jewellery section. Well diamonds are a girls best friend!

Selfridge's I solute you.
