A little Jammy

While bopping about on my lunch hour this Friday, I came across Paul Rothe and Son an amazing delicatessen on Marylebone Lane.

I almost died of excitement when approached the window and discovered it was a cave of old school English goodies. The walls were covered in jam jars and the wooden panelling gave it a warm homely feel.

Jams and preserves galore, it was the type of place the crumpet was made for.
I had to have a cup of tea here and next time I coming back for lunch, their home made salads, sandwiches and jacket potatoes looked idea.

I wish my daddy had been with me as I came over all kidish, it totally evoked memories of us on Sunday morning having boiled eggs and solders with extra toast smothered with Strawberry jam, honey and any other type of sweet spread we could get our hands on.

Naturally I was always a total mucky pup and had sticky finger at the end of breakfast every time.

I could resist myself I had to pick up a few goodies.. Ok so I might have gone a little over board actually but I was so worth it because look........................

I mean wouldn't you be excited to eat this!

Dedicated to R J Elk and childhood memories.
