Liberty's of London

If you haven't guessed by now I have a fetish for department stores.

Liberty's in my opinion offers a quintessentially British experience  with an artsy dramatic flare. 

This is where Shakespeare would come to pick up his must haves.  

The Tudor building offers oodles of character and seems charmingly wonky. Know for it's floral prints and collaborations with designers, Yves Saint Laurent and Dame Vivienne Westwood,Barbour and Manolo Blahnik to name but a few.

Spreed over 6 floors (including the basement) every nook and cranny has something weird a wonderful to look at. Defiantly an Alice in wonderland vibe.

Entering through the doors you are hit with a fresh floral scent due to the bunches of fresh flower stacked around you, the best type of welcome I think.

You are then met with a burst of colour which is accentuated by dark beam interior.The hall is filled with designer scarves, hung all around in every colour, print and fabric you can imagine. Princes Di would have jumped for joy. Liberty's TV has been uber clever and come up with tutorial on how to tie a scarf in many ways, I'm defo taking notes.

I almost died when I saw these hanging Beatles, a throw back to the 1960, I was smiling like a Cheshire cat.

I followed my nose and the wafting scent to the perfume department, spraying myself with most glass bottles in reach. I arrived at Diptyque my new found love after the girls at work were gushing over the brand and I had to check it out or myself. I love their candles and their fresh clean packaging.

I had to hit the accessory section, it just wouldn't be right if I didn't and I feel I love with these Federica Moretti hats, totally a Millinery idol.

I channeled my inner Elton John hee!!!!

Venturing upstairs I was over the moon to find their Designer vintage section, crammed full with CHANEL... not that it's in my price range but dare to dream right?!

I have to have this jacket in my life ASAP, it's so fab.............AMAZING

The designer section offers all your dress up needs with clever displays, the Manolo Blahnik wall was genius.

Hidden in between designers on the 2nd is the Liberty Cafe, vibrant (complete with neon birds) with an airy feel, it's a great place to unwind after a hard time shopping and dashing from floor to floor.

My final detestation was the outrageous and quirky home section. I mean my photo's say it all....

This department store is defiantly the kooky cool kid of the bunch.

Summer wardrobe essentials

So really this is just my wish list/I REALLY NEED or already have list for this summer....I think I've been quite sensible so far ;-) what do you think.

My Mara Hoffman Mid calf fitted dress is going to be my go to this summer, thrown over a bikini its uber chic, I die for a print and Mara delivers a 100 times over.

I really want this Aqua Bow triangle bikini top & Aqua tieside bikini bottoms, the colour is so fresh. 

I like to think i'm an organised traveler and Cath Kidstons make-up brush set looks the dream.

Tangle teezer, need I say more!

Sunglasses are the ultimate essentials Stella McCartney's Cateye Sunglasses are the shape I have been searching for all year.

To dress down this great Aqua Mary structured prom dress add these Ash Jalouse camel western boots for a summery day time look or these Kurt Geiger Beige espadrilles.

A Zara Blazer with puffed shoulders is a must have, I have this in navy. Through it over some turned up jeans with a white t-shirt or this french connection Vest Top and your good to go... The vest top would also look amazing tucked into these French connection Chelsea Silk Trousers or if its hot with my Zara Printed shorts topped off with Ralph Lauren black espadrilles because you always need a black wedge!!!!Such a jet set look.

I got this Pop Pointelle Halter Dress it's perfect for drinks party's in the summer and such a pretty elegant cut.

I have to have this super cosy looking Mozart Knitted Jumper in daisy white. Just add some jean shorts and these Bertie Aztec print slipper and you have the prefect low key chilling outfit.

Zara Moccasins Just because they are super cool.

As far as bags go this Proenza Schouler neon yellow clutch has been my investment so far but as every day goes this Zara bucket bag does the trick day to day and for the beach Accessorize slouchy banana bag get it right, perfectly boho.

I could go on for ever but I have a little feeling this is enough and so does my current account.. OOPS.

Christie's for Curie

Last night I was a very lucky bunny and attended a private auction at the Iconic Christie's on Kings Street SW1, in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Some very generous people donated some fabulous pieces, from Oil paintings to fine China, there was such variety. Bidding was to be done in private.

As I walked up the staircase I was greeted by the sound of a steel drum band, what a great vibe to start off with so jolly. 

And then boys and girls we were treated to two lines of very dapper looking waiters holding what I image would be very heavy trays of Champagne. I had flashes of me attempting to hold one and failing miserably by dropping it all everywhere, not ideal, i'm a total butter fingers hee.

I had a good browse around the three rooms taking in the art work and being very cultured, I loved this chap below... 

Oh and this rather vibrant number.

Before I made a b-line for all the eats. Which were as good as they look and severed on very stylish slate platters. #SuperChic and just as colour fully as some of the art work they played off each other well. 

This way of displaying the Hollandaise sauce was genius i'm defiantly steeling this idea!  

These delicate looking courgette wraps were bursting with flavour and oozed goats cheese and a hint of mint.

The cured salmon was wrapped in a spiral around its black stick and the spicy dill sauces offered a welcome kick. Very clever.

These quails eggs stole the show, divine! They looked organic and at home in there little baskets topped with delicate flowers and complemented by the spices.A variety of colour which offered a feast for the eyes. 

What would a party be without a good cocktail sausage. I feel these were rather grown up and mature ones though. The creme dela creme of the cocktail sausage. 

More anyone?!

I was excited to enter the Grand raffle. Old proceeds to the charity obvi. X-cross fingers I win one of these fantastic prizes. This was a big talking point among the gang of my parents friends and a friendly competitive vibe broke out.

The dark blue walls and clever lighting offered a clever setting for the art work, it dramatized and lifted the colours of each piece as well as making the room warm and welcoming.

Even these decedent chandeliers were under offer.
