Roy Lichtenstein @Tate

I woke up to the most beautiful day today in London town, so I thought there was no better thing to do than pop on my Saturday style clothes and make my way to the South bank, aka where the Tate Modern is located.

Zara Blazer, Monrow T-shirt, Topshop Jeans, French Sole Shoes, Mulberry Bag, Melissa Lo Earrings

It's the last few days of the Roy Lichtenstein Retrospective and I would be a silly billy to miss it. I love the Tate Modern Building, an old factory/warehouse its on an epic scale and makes me fell like an ant (which isn't hard I admit seeing as I'm 5ft1 ha). Anyways its the perfect space to hold modern art.

Look at this view it's amazing, loving the voluminous clouds, lucky it didn't rain few.

So I picked up a Press Package and in I went....

The exhibition was a serious experience, very engaging and exactly what I was in the mood for. Lichtenstein was at the for front of Pop Art and this retrospective showed over 125 of the artists most definitive paintings and sculptures.

Spreed over 13 rooms ad all carefully curated:

  1. Brushstrokes
  2. Early Pop
  3. Black and White
  4. War and Romance
  5. Landscape
  6. Modern
  7. Art About Art
  8. Artists Studio
  9. Mirrors and Entablatures
  10. Perfect/Imperfect
  11. Late udes
  12. Brushstokes Still Life - Abstraction
  13. Chinese Landscapes

I'm a sucker for a sculpture and this naughty lady caught my eye.

Above is Ceramic Sculpture 7, I love it, the leaning tower of Pisa of cups ha!

Wham....

Sunrise or Sunset this sent my mind back to Cornwall, great memories!!! For me that's what great art should do, it should make you connect/relate to it in your own personal way. That's why Art is so amazing, there is no right or wrong, it's just what you make of it.

Truly this was one of the funnest and exciting exhibitions I have been to in a while. Vibrant, uplifting and energetic, it totally complemented my mood.

On my way home I was bouncing around on a high and picked up my dress for Royal Ascot, Myrtle off White Reiss Dress. I couldn't believe me luck when I found this usually this is weeks of fussing, but this was easy breezy, all in all the perfect day.

i GROOM

Being what can only be described as a girly girl, I love a good beauty product, make-up and general pampering of any type.
So here's a few things that get me all excited, from treats to everyday must haves.

I love a daily routine but I keep it simple with
Simple kind to skin moisturising facial wash then their Skin purifying cleansing lotion and maybe a dash of toner. I then lather on Moisture like there is no tomorrow. I swear by Sudocrem it's a miracle worker on any spots just pop a bit on before bed time and watch it work its magic...

A couple times a week I will kick it up a notch and use this Dermalogica dermal clay cleanser which is the dream for preventing break outs and can double as a mask, and then I exfoliate with their Skin Prep Scrub and if I feel like being an uber skin boff I use Multivitamin power recovery masque. I know it's anti aging and I'm only a young-in but you can never start to early and this is packed full of vitamin goodies for you skin.

But above all the really wonder product is quite simple WATER and lots of it, add fresh lemon if you want to spice it up.

Now the fun part make-up!
I like to mix and match my products.
I try not to put on foundation every day but when I do there's only one I will go for Chanel's Vitalumiere foundation obvi, this is like satin on your skin and even smells great, which I know sounds quite strange. I always apply my Pearl foundation primer first, this just makes the make up sit better and last longer, also the Paul and Joe packaging is so pretty and i'm a total sucker for that kinda thing.
Concealer is the next stage for me just a bit under the eyes and over any annoying spots. Finally brush over with a little Mineralize Skinfinish Medium Plus Powder which just evens everything out and a dash of Shu Uemura glow on blush in soft coral on the cheek bones to add a little glow.

I like big eyes always so for lashes its Benefits Bad Gal lash mascara with a lick of Rimmel Liquid Eye liner by day and Dior Black Out Mascara with a smoky mix of Tempting eye shadow, Teddy and Smolder Eye Kohl by night. The Mascaras offer big volume which is a must for me.

On my brows it's Crayon Sourcils brun natural.

When it comes to lips nude is my style, Hue is my go to it's a gloss lipstick which adds plump and moisture. Sometimes if i'm feeling like a touch of colour Snob is a winner, so pretty in pink.

My nail colour entirely depends upon my mood, but no matter what happens i'm a devotee to
Essie.
1. Because the names of the colours rock.2. Because they are the best quality and are easy breezy to put on.  My current faves are the following:Sugar Daddy, Go Ginza, Under Where, In the cab-ana, Tangerine, Camera, Lights, Pouf Daddy and Wicked. There is nothing better than sitting down in front of a movie like Clueless and giving yourself a manicure.
Start with Essie base coat and cuticle oil after a good file, then your colour or colours of choice. Then top it off with
Seche Vite (this is the best thing to happen to nails since nail varnish was invented, it sorts out any imperfections and make them super shinny as well as drying the nail varnish quicker).

Finally no woman is complete without a spritz of scent, well maybe that's a but extreme but it's just nice to have some on no?. I take one of three, all Chanel, just because love them all so why stray right!! ChanceNo5 and Coco Mademoiselle. Divine.

So fresh now.
